Alumni Relations

The alumni meet “Homecoming” was held on the 20th of April, 2019. The outline of the event was drawn a month prior, and inputs of the team members, faculty and alumni were taken into account in the meetings that were held in the duration of that month. This includes deciding the schedule, activities, decoration theme, budget and gifts. The event was organized for all alumni batches that is, the ones which graduated in 2011 to those who did in 2018. For the purpose of inviting, the alumni were called personally and updates of all kinds were released on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and on separate city/ state based WhatsApp groups. Along with updates, the social media platforms also featured a series of reflective messages from some alumni. They were also invited to attend the convocation ceremony of the 2014-2019 batch, which was to be held the very same evening. The event saw the arrival of nine alumni of the institute, each of them being a great source of encouragement for the team.

Objectives of the Association:

  • The Association (NUILAA) shall have the following broadly identified objectives in the field of Law and allied branches: To provide a platform for meeting and exchange of ideas among the alumni, present student, faculty members and other members of the Association and Institute of Law, Nirma University (herein after referred to as the ‘Institute’).
  • To pursue and sustain excellence in legal education by interaction between the alumni, faculty and present students of the Institute.
  • To strengthen Legal Industries, Corporates -Institute Interaction and operate related activities for the benefit of the students of the Institute.
  • To extend all assistance and cooperation to the Institute in its endeavours for the growth and development of education and research in the field of law.
  • To confer scholarship and awards for deserving past and present students of the Institute for educational and research purposes as per the terms and conditions to be laid down by the Board of Management of the Association.
  • To encourage and assist the students of the Institute in various academic and cultural activities.
  • To establish endowments by donation to extend financial and other assistance to deserving past and present students of the Institute for educational purposes as per the terms and conditions mutually decided with the Board of Management of the Association.
  • To establish endowments by donation to create Chair(s) of Emeritus in the Institute in professional and related areas.
  • To generate funds through donation for conducting activities for achieving the objectives of the Association.
  • To create corpus of funds for furtherance of Alumni activities.
  • To create fellowships for the Alumni to pursue higher/Post graduate studies.
  • To project constructive activities of Institute in India and abroad.
  • To provide a common platform for exchange of ideas and disseminating knowledge in professional areas.
  • To perform any other constructive activities leading towards the enhancement of skill and knowledge of all the members of the Association.
