The Student Research Council, Institute of Law, Nirma University organised a filed visit on the occasion of 73rd Constitution Day on November 26, 2022. The visit was organised at Rajiv Nagar’s tenement society to identify the fulfillment of basic needs of the people, namely-electricity, water, medical care, rations, availability of schools nearby, etc. A team of 30 students went door to door and interacted with the residents as to their concerns and made them aware of the government schemes for the benefit of people at large. The team also distributed stationery to the children in the vicinity.
The institute also organised a distinguished session on the theme “Constitutional Review” by Prof M P Singh, Research Professor of Law and Director, Centre for Comparative Law, Jindal Global University. He discussed as to why the Indian Constitution has survived successfully all these years and its influence on other constitutions. Prof (Dr) Madhuri Parikh, Director, Institute of Law delivered the welcome speech at the session. Dr Vikash Kumar Upadhyay proposed the vote of thanks. The events were coordinated by Dr Shivani Mehta and Mr Sukrit Garg, Assistant Professors at the Institute. All these events were organised to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.
