The Centre for Child Rights Advocacy, in collaboration with the Legal Aid Clinic and Theatre Committee, Institute of Law – Nirma University team visited Jamiyatpura Sreshth Shala, a govt school located in the village of Jamiyatpura, Ahmedabad district on Feb 28, 2024. The primary objective of our visit was to raise awareness among students about the various scholarship schemes offered by the government to support their education. To engage the students effectively, a “nukkad natak, (street play)” was performed by the students of the Institute.
Through this dynamic performance, the importance of scholarships in empowering young minds and facilitating their access to education was conveyed. The faculty coordinators also took the opportunity to provide detailed insights into each scholarship scheme. They explained the eligibility criteria, application process, and benefits associated with these schemes, ensuring that every student had a clear understanding of the available opportunities. In addition to discussing scholarship schemes, the focus was also on promoting initiatives such as Skill India and Khelo India. By highlighting the importance of skill development and sports participation, the students were encouraged to explore diverse avenues for personal and professional growth beyond academics.
