The Institute of Law, Nirma University celebrated its 18th Foundation Day on August 20, 2024. Prof. Bhavani Prasad Panda, Former Vice Chancellor, Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai was the Chief Guest at the event. Prof. (Dr). Madhuri Parikh, Dean and Director(I/c) Institute of Law, Dr. Arun Prasad, Dr. Anand Shindhe and Dr. Gunjan Arora were the others dignitaries gracing the dais.
Prof. Bhavani Prasad Panda congratulated the institute on its 18th Foundation Day. He urged the students to strive towards realizing the real purpose of legal education. He stressed that the students should be considerate about the miseries of the common man and play an active role in ensuring justice in society. He expressed concern over the indifferent attitude of people in general about the happenings around and stressed that the onus is on the younger generation to bring about a positive change in the society. He advised the students to keep introspecting as to their role in shaping a better future for mankind.
Earlier, Prof. (Dr). Madhuri Parikh traced the journey of the Institute of Law since 2007. She acknowledged the contribution of faculty, staff members and students, alumni in phenomenal success of the Institute all these years. She also thanked the galaxy of Adjunct professors and visiting faculties in shaping the institution. She stated that the Institute has emerged as one of the best private law schools in the country in a short span of time. It provides an excellent academic ambience that nurtures young minds to legal scholarship in the green, serene, natural environment. The event also saw the felicitation of Faculty and Students for noteworthy achievements. Dr. Gunjan Arora, Assistant Professor at the institute delivered the vote of thanks.
