The Nirma University Debate Club successfully concluded its annual conventional debate tournament, Disceptatio 2.0, on 31st August, 2024. This one-day event showcased the exceptional debating skills of 32 teams representing various institutes within the university. After intense preliminary rounds, semi-finals, and finals, the winners were announced: Nandini Zunder and Shreya Bharti from the Institute of Law emerged as champions, while Sarthak Gupta and Anand Singh from the same institute secured the runner-up position. Purnoor Hussain from the Institute of Design and Sana Narmawala from the Institute of Technology were recognized for their outstanding performances as Best Proposition Speaker and Best Opposition Speaker, respectively.
The tournament was judged by a panel of esteemed experts, including Mr Mahor Nagda, Mr Keshav Mohan, Mr Ojas Date, and Mr Rajyawardhan Singh.
