An Expert Lecture on ‘Recent Supreme Court Judgements and Development of Consumer Jurisprudence in India’ was organised in virtual mode on September 21, 2024 for the First semester students at ILNU. The invited Expert Speakers was Prof. Sri Ram Khanna, Former Professor and HOD Commerce Faculty, Delhi School of Economics and Managing Trustee and Sr. Vice Chairman- Consumer Voice, New Delhi. Prof. Khanna covered five major themes: who is a consumer, summary procedure for quick resolution of consumer disputes, joint complaint vs. class actions, principles for seeking compensation, and liability of statutory authorities under the Consumer Protection Act.
