Expert Session on Individual and Collective Decision-Making: Strategies and Ethical Considerations
Institute of Law, Nirma University organised a session on “Individual and collective decision-making: strategies and ethical considerations” by Ms. Swapna Sai, a renowned image consultant and soft skill coach, on 7th and 8th October 2025. Ms. Sai explored the complex process of decision-making by emphasising how this capability demands breaking away from conditioned thought and behaviour. In order to understand the challenges and creativity implicit in the process of decision-making to achieve individual and organisational goals, the students were given a practical assignment. Through collective efforts, the students reached decisions and made choices. At the end of long deliberations, the students realised the criteria for decisions and choices that require emotional intelligence, consideration for others, and ethical insights. The event was coordinated by Dr. Bini B.S for the subject of Skill Lab-I for first-semester students.
