The Literary Committee of the Institute of Law, Nirma University (ILNU) organized its first event of the academic year 2025–26 — the Haikus Display Board — on 29th September 2025. The display, themed “Echoes in Brevity—Display of Hindi Haikus,” celebrated creativity through the concise and evocative form of haiku poetry. The initiative began during the Hindi Diwas celebration on 15th September 2025, where Hindi haikus were collected from students and faculty members, showcasing their poetic expressions and linguistic flair.
The event aimed to celebrate the Hindi language in all its creative forms and received an overwhelming response with more than 40 participants and over 60 haiku submissions. The haikus explored diverse themes such as loss, identity, rebellion, motherhood, and cultural inheritance. The display reflected ILNU’s vibrant literary spirit and highlighted the cross-cultural influence of literature through the Japanese poetic form. With enthusiastic participation and artistic expression, the event successfully fulfilled the committee’s vision of promoting creativity and linguistic appreciation within the ILNU community.
