Health Wellness Workshop for Women at Nirma University

The Women Development Cell (WDC) of Nirma University, in anticipation of International Women’s Day celebrated annually on 8th March, successfully organised an awareness session titled “Swasth Naari, Swasth Parivar” on 2nd March 2026 at the Institute of Law, Nirma University. The initiative was conducted with the objective of fostering holistic health, well-being, and self-care among women through traditional and sustainable practices. Students, staff and faculty member throughout all institutes of Nirma University participated in the same.

The session was directed by Prof. (Dr.) Madhuri Parikh Madam, Chairperson of WDC, Nirma University and also the Dean and Director of the Institute of Law, Nirma University, and was supervised by Ms. Ekta Ojha, faculty at the Institute of Law, Nirma University.

Esteemed resource person- Dr. Punit Chaturvedi, National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur with expertise in holistic health and wellness addressed the gathering. He discussed the significance of maintaining hormonal balance, adopting mindful eating habits, incorporating yoga and physical activity into daily routines, and managing stress effectively. To promote practical learning, Dr. Chaturvedi conducted an engaging Office Yoga session, enabling participants to experience simple yet effective exercises that can be practiced in the workplace.

The session highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare, balanced nutrition, mental wellness, and the integration of time-tested traditional remedies into daily life. The program witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and staff, reflecting a shared commitment toward promoting awareness about women’s health issues.
