Prof. Stephen Barnes, Assistant Dean of Graduate and International Programs, Penn State Dickinson Law, The Pennsylvania State University, USA, visited the Institute of Law, Nirma University, on 17th September 2026. He took a session on the “Recent U.S. Supreme Court Decisions Expanding Executive Powers”, wherein he reviewed recent Supreme Court decisions that expand presidential immunity and the executive’s powers to terminate civil servants’ employment. The session was attended by postgraduate students and constitutional law honours students at the Institute. He also addressed the students of the 4th year on an overview of the Penn State Dickinson Law LL.M. program and tuition scholarship schedule for students entering the final year in the session titled “We Are Penn State Dickinson Law”
