Ms. Akhila Sawan is a Lecturer at Institute of Law, Nirma University. She is pursuing PhD in the field of Organised Crime and Drug Trafficking. Before joining Nirma University, Ms. Akhila Sawan was working as an Educator, guiding students for competitive exams like UGC-NET, CLAT, MH-CET, etc. She also has industry experience as a practicing Advocate of two years, which experience she brings to her classroom. Ms. Akhila has also qualified the UGC-NET requirements for Assistant Professor. Her research interests are in areas like Organised Crime, Drug Laws, International Criminal Law, Gender Justice and Social Justice. She actively participates in conferences, seminars, training programs, further solidifying her expertise.
She has also successfully completed course on "International Criminal Courts and Tribunals at the Hague" from University of Leiden, Amsterdam and a course on "IP and Competition Law" from FICCI.
