Under the Memorandum of Understanding between Institute of Law Nirma University and University of Johannesburg, ILNU is offering a fifteen hours certificate course on Fundamental Rights and Rights Adjudication in India to the students of University of Johannesburg from 22nd July- 13th August, 2022. This course will present a discussion of fundamental rights, their status, role, effect and force in India. It will be beneficial in developing a contextual understanding of rights in India, which will prove to be useful in comparative studies. The course can be used as a guide for public life in the country, having regard to the shared realities of both India and South Africa. Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to perceive social, political, personal aspects of life from a constitutional approach. They will also be able to apply various constitutional doctrines to fact-situations emerging in the real world. This course is an attempt to strengthen the partnership between our universities and a step towards continuous engagement in the future as well. The course will be delivered by Mr. Sukrit garg, Assistant Professor of Law, Institute of Law, Nirma University.
