Lecture series Artificial Intelligence and legal regime: Addressing issues of Ethics, Justice Administration, Privacy and Transparency

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has made swift inroads in policy regimes across the world and is undoubtedly the game changer when it comes to the prediction of individual behaviors and reinforcement of learning techniques in several sectors like finance, healthcare, judiciary, and administration. But such huge involvement of AI in our lives has raised several ethical questions about the manner in which AI functions and trains.

Feeling the need to increase dialogue and deliberation in this sector, the Institute of Law, Nirma University under the Shastri Conference and Lecture Series Grant (SCLSG) is holding a two-day lecture series on the topic of “Artificial Intelligence and legal regime: Addressing issues of Ethics, Justice Administration, Privacy and Transparency” on March 19-20, 2022.

The Lectures will be delivered by panelists from India and Canada and will revolve around four themes related to AI:

  • Issues of ethics and morality in AI
  • Big data & Data Privacy – opportunity and risks
  • AI and Justice Administration
  • Accountability, Responsibility, and Transparency issues in AI.

Participation in lecture series is open for law academia, practitioners, industry actors, and others. Interested may register at: https://forms.gle/zAvdA2ykyVeTt3J38
