Overview

Instruction, innovation and involvement with the community are the three vital activities of any University. Nirma University is highly engaged in extension activities through its students to build the neighbouring communities on one hand and to foster psychosocial development of students on the other hand.

The extension activities at the Institute are divided into three categories. The first set of activities are integrated into the curriculum and include activities like an internship with the NGOs. The second category of extension activities consists of structured long-term community engagement through the various national social schemes where the students spend around two weeks serving the community. The third category comprises the various activities which are conducted for short term duration by different student organisations like organising blood donation camps, visit old age homes, workshops for disadvantaged sections of society, teach the underprivileged, etc.
