The Centre for Environmental Law of Institute of Law envisages a journey towards the Environmental sustainability and equability. The Centre was established on 17th August 2013.
The centre aims to create environmental sensitivity among the students, society and different stakeholders. It aims to promote and encourage research in the field of environment to bridge the gap between the law, policy and their implementation in society, to achieve the social justice by encouraging protection of the right to environment. It also emphasises on spreading awareness among the people about their fundamental duty to protect the environment.

The Centre for Environmental Law on the eve of World Ozone Day organised a Reel Making Competition was organised on the theme of “From Science to Global Action” to raise awareness about the depletion of the ozone layer and the importance of protecting it. Nyaaree Patel (Batch 2025) has emerged as the winner. It stood out for its well-balanced combination of content and visuals. The information presented was clear, relevant, and thoughtfully structured, while the visuals and transitions were smooth and cohesive.
