The Moot Court (Organizing) Committee, Institute of Law, Nirma University virtually organized the 10th edition of Institute of Law, National Moot Court Competition (IL-NMCC) in collaboration with Competition Commission of India. (April 16-18, 2021). There were 40 participating teams from different law schools across the country. The theme for the Competition this year was “Competition Law along with Intellectual Property Rights.”
The ceremony was graced by the august presence of Shri Rakesh Kumar, Advisor, Competition Commission of India & Shri Anand Vikas Mishra, Joint Director, Competition Commission of India.
The Preliminary & Quarter Final Rounds took place over days 1 & 2, and on Day 3 Semi-Final Rounds & Final Rounds took place followed by valedictory ceremony. The event provided a great platform to students of arguing before a simulated panel of leading practitioners and industry experts, and develop a deeper understanding of competition law. The team of Ishaan Pandey, Rishabh Aggarwal & Rishabh Joshi from Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) Gandhinagar emerged as the Winners and the team of Krishanu Paul, Anhad Kaur Mehta & Akshat Kabra from National Law School of India University, (NLSIU) Bangalore were adjudged as runners-up at the competition. Ms. Kareena Bakhtyarpuri & Mr. Jatin Khushalani, were the student convenors of the event.
