The Institute of Law, Nirma University celebrated its 19th Foundation Day on August 18, 2025, with a variety of academic and cultural events. Professor D.P. Verma, Member, Law Commission of India, New Delhi graced the event as Chief Guest of the Ceremony. Prof. Anup K Singh, Director General-Nirma University and Prof. (Dr.) Madhuri Parikh, Director and Dean, Institute of Law were also present at the event. The day started with a lecture by Professor D.P. Verma. Prof. Verma made thought-provoking observations about “The Idea of Justice in the Constitution of India.” Apart from Professor Verma’s erudite lecture, the event was marked by speeches by Professor Anup K. Singh, Director General of Nirma University, and Professor Madhuri Parekh, Dean and Director of the Institute of Law. The Institute felicitated its senior professors for their contributions, members of the faculty for their academic awards and publications, and students for their achievements in academics, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. There was a vibrant dance and musical medley following the felicitations. The afternoon was spent in a poster-making competition and a treasure hunt in which the students participated with enthusiasm. The day brought together memories of the journey of the Institute of Law, resolutions about its present plan of action, and a vision for its future growth. Dr. Bini B.S.
