The Literary Committee of the Institute of Law, Nirma University organized a Colloquium on “Gandhi’s Conception of Truth in Contemporary Media and Politics” on 6th October 2025 to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti. The session, led by Dr. Kunal Kishore, Dr. Vikas Upadhyay, and student panelist Krishna Rohit Jani (Batch 2022), discussed the relevance of Gandhiji’s idea of truth (Satya) in today’s media and political landscape marked by misinformation and polarization.
The discussion encouraged critical reflection on Gandhiji’s principles as an ethical guide in the digital age. With active participation from students and faculty, the event successfully fostered thoughtful dialogue on truth, ethics, and democracy, reflecting the Literary Committee’s commitment to meaningful academic engagement.
