The Centre for Corporate Law Studies (CCLS) at the Institute of Law, Nirma University organised an Expert Lecture on “Contemporary Developments in Insolvency and Bankruptcy Law” on 8th November 2025. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Ms. Surbhi Pareek, Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and an accomplished alumna of the Institute, renowned for her expertise in insolvency and restructuring law.
Ms. Pareek highlighted the evolving landscape of India’s Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) and discussed its practical implications through landmark judgments and real-world cases. She shared valuable professional insights on managing insolvency proceedings, balancing legal strategy with commercial considerations, and navigating the challenges faced by practitioners in this field.
The objective of the event was to familiarise students with recent developments in insolvency and bankruptcy law and to offer practical exposure to the working of the IBC and its impact on India’s corporate and financial sectors. The session aimed to deepen students’ understanding of this dynamic area of law while inspiring them through the success and expertise of a distinguished alumna.
