The Centre for Environmental Law at the institute has been buzzing with variety of clinical and co-curricular activities. The center has organised a variety of activities to give students of Environmental Law course a holistic learning beyond classroom teachings.
Firstly, an ecological trip to Thol Bird Sanctuary was conducted to inculcate biodiversity observation skills in the natural landscape among students. A filed trip was organised where students were taken to witness an EIA public hearing at Mehsana and Sanand to understand the real implementation of EIA law and its impact in real life context and its procedural challenges. Prior the said visit a Master class was taken at the institute for the orientation of the students by Mr Mahesh Pandya and Dr Madhuri Parikh.
An expert lecture by Dr Shailesh Rao “The CLIMATE HEALER” on climate change was organised to sensitize the students towards the contemporary challenge of climate change and its related sustainability issues. The events were coordianted by Prof Abhinav Kumar and Dr Parna Mukherjee.
