The Centre for Environment Law at the Institute of Law, Nirma University (ILNU) organised the Youth Parliament – Vasudha Vidhan on September 16, 2026 at Nirma University. The event was centred on the thought-provoking theme, “In the Recent Himalayan Tragedy, How Many Voices Will Shape the Future?” to celebrate the International Ozone Day. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Madhuri Parikh, Director & Dean of the Institute who welcomed the participants on this occasion.
The event gave a dynamic platform for young participants to deliberate upon the recent Himalayan tragedy and engage with critical questions concerning environmental protection, sustainable development, governance, and the role of youth in shaping responses to ecological challenges. Participants actively engaged in discussions and deliberations surrounding the recent Himalayan tragedy, examining the environmental, social, and governance dimensions of the issue. The platform encouraged participants to present diverse perspectives and reflect upon the role of youth in shaping sustainable environmental policies and practices. The event served as an enriching forum for dialogue and reflection, reinforcing the significance of youth participation in environmental discourse and in shaping a more sustainable future for the Himalayan region.
