The Inaugural Ceremony of the Orientation Programme of BA.LLB. (Hons) and B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) Batch 2024-29 was held at Institute of Law, Nirma University on July 15, 2024. Hon’ble Ms Justice Soniaben Gokani – Former Chief Justice, High Court of Gujarat graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Dr Anup K Singh- Director General, Nirma University presided over the function. Prof (Dr) Jyotsna Yagnik- Adjunct Professor, ILNU and former Principal Judge – City Civil and Sessions Court, Ahmedabad and Prof (Dr) Madhuri Parikh, Dean and Director(I/c) at the institute were the other dignitaries at the event.
Hon’ble Ms Justice Soniaben Gokani congratulated the students for securing admission at one of the finest law schools in the country. She stressed that every human being is born with great potentials. The students must make best use of the available opportunities at law school and build a strong foundation for a successful career. She referred to the caterpillar-butterfly story and stated that every struggle makes us strong and teaches us to ‘fly’ high in life. The students must strive towards excellence in all spheres of life.
Dr Anup K Singh delivered the presidential address. He appraised the students that the University believes in values of hard work, Integrity and collaborations. He stated that Medicine, Law and Teaching are the oldest professions and urged the students to learn the values of professional standards and at the same time make meaningful contribution to the society as a whole.
