The Legal Aid Clinic, Institute of Law, Nirma University and Gujarat State Legal Services Authority (GSLSA) successfully organised a Legal awareness programme on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Jammiyatpura Prathmik School on January 30, 2025. Mr. R.A. Trivedi, member secretary- Gujarat State Legal Services Authority, engaged the students in an insightful discussion about the concept of good touch and bad touch. He effectively conveyed this important message through a compelling story, making it easier for students to grasp and relate to the subject. Additionally, he elaborated on various precautionary measures that students should adopt to ensure their safety and well-being in different situations. This awareness programme was done under the guidance of Hon’ble Mr. Justice B.A. Vaishnav Executive Chairman GSLSA. The Legal aid students of the Institute actively participated in the programme. Dr. Foram Patel, Assistant Professor at the Institute coordinated the event. Prof. Dr. Madhuri Parikh, Dean and Director(I/c), Institute of Law stated that the initiative underlines the commitment of the institute of Law, Nirma University and GSLSA in promoting legal literacy and child protection through community outreach.
