The One Day National Level Seminar on Advancing Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation was organised by the Legal Research Foundation, India on 14 February 2026 at ICAI Bhavan, Rajkot. The seminar was conducted in collaboration with Nirma University and the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration, bringing together leading professionals and experts in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
The event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Mr. Justice R. T. Vachchani. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Tejas Karia attended as the Guest of Honour, while Hon’ble Mr. Justice J. C. Doshi served as the Chief Guest for the occasion. The seminar was presided over by Prof. K. P. Joshipura, Chairperson of the Legal Research Foundation of India. Other distinguished dignitaries included Mr. Prashant Kumar, President of the Bar Association of India; Ms. Neeti Sachdeva, Registrar and Secretary General of MCIA and Mr. Hriday Buch, Advocate at the Gujarat High Court.
Along with the Faculty Head, Prof. Dr. Foram Patel, students of the Centre for Alternate Dispute Resolution (CADR) attended the prestigious seminar.
Overall, the seminar provided valuable insights into contemporary developments in arbitration and mediation. The discussions enhanced participants’ understanding of the evolving role of technology, recent legislative and institutional developments, and the growing significance of structured ADR mechanisms in modern dispute resolution.
