A two weeks Faculty Development Programme (FDP)- Course on Wheels: Faculty Immersion Programme- Learning through Field Based Interventions was held at Institute of Law, Nirma University from July1st- 12th July, 2024. The experiential FDP explored the ways in which clinical education can be infused throughout the curriculum. Prof. (Dr) Jyotsna Yagnik, Prof. N K Pathak, Shri Ajay Kumar Tomar, Dr. Mahesh Pandya, Ms. Nupur Sinha, Prof. Dr Madhuri Parikh, Prof. Dr Varsha Ganguly and Prof. D.C. Baxi oriented the participants of learning through filed interventions. As part of an effort to enkindle curiosity towards latest approaches the faculty team at the Institute various NGO’s and legal institutions. The team visited Gujarat State Human Rights Commission, Sabarmati Central Jail and High Court of Gujarat. The endeavour was to learn latest practices and procedures and share a fresh approach in the class room environment. The programme explored types of experiential education that are most suitable to the legal system and legal education system in India. Dr. Arun Prasad, Associate Professor at the Institute was the coordinator of FDP.
