The Institute of Law and the Institute of Commerce, Nirma University, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Taxpayer Services (DGTS), Ahmedabad Zonal Unit, organised a seminar on “Vigilance Our Shared Responsibility” on October 31, 2025, as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025. The event, held at the Seminar Hall of the Institute of Law, aimed to promote transparency, integrity, and accountability in public life while reminding everyone that maintaining honesty in society is a shared duty. The seminar was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Chanchal Kumar Tiwari, Joint Director, DGTS Ahmedabad, who spoke about the importance of ethical conduct and the DGTS’s role in promoting taxpayer services and good governance. He was accompanied by Shri Anilkumar Sreedharan, Additional Assistant Director, and Shri Rahul Verma, Inspector, who shared their valuable experiences from the field of indirect taxation. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) Madhuri Parikh, Dean and Director of the Institute of Law, and Prof. (Dr.) Uday Paliwal, Dean and Director of the Institute of Commerce, whose inspiring words emphasized the need for ethical awareness among future professionals.
