National Cadet Corps

National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a voluntary organisation that recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. It is a tri-services organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens.

The Nirma University has NCC units for both boys and girls. Every year, 18 boys and 20 girls are recruited in the NCC units. During the three-year training programme, B certification in the second year and C certification in the third year is awarded to the cadets who succeed in the NCC examination.
